This earring showcases the Rice Paper butterfly wings. The wings are hand cut, permanently preserved, and attached to 925 sterling silver teardrop earrings. The wings are finished in jeweler's grade resin. Resin is considered high quality and is approximately 1/8" thick with a glossy look. The preserved wings are durable, lightweight, and waterproof. Due to working with natural supplies each product may slightly vary than what is pictured.

Every piece is handmade to order. Please allow 3–5 days for us to make and prepare your order, then 3–5 business days for USPS delivery in the U.S. Free U.S. shipping on orders $50 and over; about $7.50 under $50. We ship internationally (rates at checkout). Returns accepted within 30 days, and we'll fix or replace anything that arrives broken.

Where our butterflies come from

Every butterfly lived a full life on a preservation farm and was collected after it died naturally. The farms protect rainforest habitat, and about 80% of farm-raised eggs reach adulthood versus about 5% in the wild. All species are approved by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Learn more

Caring for your piece

Wings are permanently sealed in jeweler's-grade resin, which is durable and water resistant. Keep framed art out of direct sunlight and away from humidity to keep colors vibrant.
