Real butterfly wings are used after their natural passing and turned into wearable art! Nothing is done to harm the butterfly. Butterflies are acquired from preservation farms worldwide and information cards are included to learn more.
These wings come from the Idea Leuconoe butterfly and measures approximately 1.5"x2.75" (not including the earring hook). The wings can be finished in a thick lamination (similar to the thickness of cardstock paper) or in jeweler's grade resin. The resin finish is considered higher quality and is approximately 1/8" thick with a glossier look. Both options are durable, lightweight, and waterproof. Due to working with natural supplies each product may slightly vary than what is pictured. Finished wings are attached to hypoallergenic surgical steel earring hooks and two earring backs are included. Other earring hook options are available upon request.
Please note that choosing the resin option will delay shipping. Resin takes 3-5 days to fully cure. Message me if you have any questions.
Jewelry will be shipped with the USPS and take 3 to 5 business days to reach anywhere in the continental U.S. or 7 to 10 days for any international destination.

Please allow 3–5 days for us to make and prepare your order, then 3–5 business days for USPS delivery in the U.S. Free U.S. shipping on orders $50 and over; about $7.50 under $50. We ship internationally (rates at checkout). Returns accepted within 30 days, and we'll fix or replace anything that arrives broken.

Every butterfly lived a full life on a preservation farm and was collected after it died naturally. The farms protect rainforest habitat, and about 80% of farm-raised eggs reach adulthood versus about 5% in the wild. All species are approved by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Learn more

Wings are permanently sealed in jeweler's-grade resin, which is durable and water resistant. Keep framed art out of direct sunlight and away from humidity to keep colors vibrant.
