Real butterfly wings are used after their natural passing and turned into wearable art! Nothing is done to harm the butterfly. Butterflies are acquired from preservation farms worldwide and information cards will be included to learn more.
This is called the Monarch butterfly and measure approximately 2.5"x2" in size. The wings are finished in a thick lamination (similar to the thickness of cardstock paper) which is durable, lightweight, and waterproof. Due to working with natural supplies each product may slightly vary than what is pictured.
The necklace chain comes in two options; 18" OR 30" with a 1" extender chain in the back to adjust the length. It is a high quality stainless steel snake chain. Stainless steel is safe to wear for anyone with metal allergies and will never tarnish!
Please note that choosing the resin option will delay shipping. Resin takes 3-5 days to fully cure. Message me if you have any questions.

Every piece is handmade to order. Please allow 3–5 days for us to make and prepare your order, then 3–5 business days for USPS delivery in the U.S. Free U.S. shipping on orders $50 and over; about $7.50 under $50. We ship internationally (rates at checkout). Returns accepted within 30 days, and we'll fix or replace anything that arrives broken.

Every butterfly lived a full life on a preservation farm and was collected after it died naturally. The farms protect rainforest habitat, and about 80% of farm-raised eggs reach adulthood versus about 5% in the wild. All species are approved by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Learn more

Wings are permanently sealed in jeweler's-grade resin, which is durable and water resistant. Keep framed art out of direct sunlight and away from humidity to keep colors vibrant.
