This listing is for a real Papilio Bromius butterfly wing preserved with resin in a antique silver skeleton key. The wing is permanently preserved and waterproof. The pendant size is 3/4" in diameter and the key is 2" in length. The key is attached to an 18" stainless steel snake chain. Stainless steel is a high quality metal safe to wear for anyone with metal allergies and will never tarnish overtime!

Where our butterflies come from

Every butterfly lived a full life on a preservation farm and was collected after it died naturally. The farms protect rainforest habitat, and about 80% of farm-raised eggs reach adulthood versus about 5% in the wild. All species are approved by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Learn more

Caring for your piece

Wings are permanently sealed in jeweler's-grade resin, which is durable and water resistant. Keep framed art out of direct sunlight and away from humidity to keep colors vibrant.
