Real butterfly wings are used after their natural passing and turned into wearable art. They are acquired from butterfly farms worldwide and information cards are included to learn more.

These earrings are elegant and a great conversation starter! Plus they're lightweight and you'll never lose them because of the twist design! The earring hooks are made of .925 sterling silver. The wings are from the Cithaerias Merolina butterfly and the whole earring measures approximately 2" in height. The wings are hand cut and permanently preserved with resin to a sterling silver leaf finding. Resin is a durable finish and waterproof. Due to working with natural supplies each product may slightly vary than what is pictured.

Where our butterflies come from

Every butterfly lived a full life on a preservation farm and was collected after it died naturally. The farms protect rainforest habitat, and about 80% of farm-raised eggs reach adulthood versus about 5% in the wild. All species are approved by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Learn more

Wings are permanently sealed in jeweler's-grade resin, which is durable and water resistant. Keep framed art out of direct sunlight and away from humidity to keep colors vibrant.
