These are double flared areng wood plugs for sizes 1/2"-1 1/2". Real butterfly wings are carefully hand cut and preserved to the plug with resin, a permanent bond. All our butterflies and moths come from preservation farms worldwide that lived and died naturally so they were not harmed in any way. Information cards will be included to learn more.

Please note, each pair of plugs will slightly vary due to working with real nature. Resin takes 3-4 days to dry so please be patient with the shipping times since each pair is handmade at time of purchase.

This is truly unique handmade jewelry at an affordable price! We can provide any size of plug and type of wing through a custom order, so please contact us if you would like something different!

Where our butterflies come from

Every butterfly lived a full life on a preservation farm and was collected after it died naturally. The farms protect rainforest habitat, and about 80% of farm-raised eggs reach adulthood versus about 5% in the wild. All species are approved by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Learn more

Caring for your piece

Wings are permanently sealed in jeweler's-grade resin, which is durable and water resistant. Keep framed art out of direct sunlight and away from humidity to keep colors vibrant.
