A real butterfly is permanently secured inside a solid wood shadow box on a vintage world map. The wood shadow box is 5" x 5" in size and can either hang on a wall or stand up on its own as a shelf display. The butterfly can be steampunked with gears added for an additional cost as shown in the last few pictures. All insects come from preservation farms and lived a full life. They were not harmed in any way for my artwork. Information cards will be included to learn more. Makes a great conversational piece! This is a perfect gift for any bug lover in your life.

Where our butterflies come from

Every butterfly lived a full life on a preservation farm and was collected after it died naturally. The farms protect rainforest habitat, and about 80% of farm-raised eggs reach adulthood versus about 5% in the wild. All species are approved by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Learn more

Caring for your piece

Wings are permanently sealed in jeweler's-grade resin, which is durable and water resistant. Keep framed art out of direct sunlight and away from humidity to keep colors vibrant.
