Real butterfly wings are used after their natural passing and turned into wearable art. They are acquired from butterfly farms worldwide and information cards are included to learn more.
These wings are from the Cithaerias Merolina butterfly and measures approximately 1.5 inches in height (measurement includes the earring hooks). The wings are finished in a thick lamination (similar to the thickness of card stock paper). Lamination is durable, lightweight, and waterproof. Real pearls dangle underneath the wings. These wings have transparent qualities! Gold plated hooks are used. Due to working with natural supplies each product may slightly vary than what is pictured. Finished wings are attached to gold plated french earring hooks and two earring backs are included.
