The insects are farmed in accordance with the regulations of CITES (Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species). Many people eat beetles and other insects in Thailand as a good source of protein. I acquire the wings afterwards.

The wings measure about 1" tall and 1/4" wide. They are extremely sturdy yet very light in weight for the amount of durability they have. They are great for crafting and jewelry products.

You can purchase the wings without holes (undrilled) or with holes (drilled - at no extra cost!). The listing provides both options so please select how you would like the wings or message me after purchasing. The holes will fit standard jump rings (18G/4.5mm or smaller) and are drilled at the top of the wing. If you need a different amount than the listings I have offered or have other questions feel free to email me.

Each wing has it's own unique color tone, but all have a brilliant natural metallic shine which reflects colors ranging from bright green to goldenrod yellow to deep cobalt blue and even purple. When viewed in mass the wings take on a mesmerizing life of their own, the hues and colors delicately shift depending on the light.

Don't want to put in all the work?
